First Rush information and screenshots

PSP News | 3, 2, 1, Rush.
A few days ago, we mentioned that LA Rush would be finding its way to the PSP. Well, Midway have officially confirmed it is on its way, but it has dropped the LA and simply become Rush. Like the console version, Rush will allow you to race in 5 different re-creations of Los Angeles in 36 licensed cars. The bulk of the game is in the story mode, where you 'gain respect', which can be done by winning races, and stealing the cars of your enemies. Fun. But, Rush also has a few pieces of unique content all to itself.

Cruise missions will be available to uncover in the story mode, which help you earn cash. Yay. The stunt arena is one of the more significant additions, where you try and spin your car as much in the air as possible in order for a high score. There is, of course, an option to wirelessly race any nearby PSP players, or compete in the aforementioned cruise missions together.

Like LA Rush, you can tune your cars, modifying it with different go-faster bits. Oh, and you can visit the guys from West Coast Customs, who can fit your car with ugly bodykits and disgusting decals, should you be so inclined.

Rush is set for a September release, so look out for it then - as we're sure all you racing-starved PSP owners will be. Until then, the first screens are in the media panel.
