Tomb Raider remake back on

PSP News | For now.
If you're a Lara Croft fan, the last twenty four hours have probably been something of a rollercoaster ride. Less than twenty four hours ago we reported that Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary Edition had been cancelled.

Thankfully, SCi-Eidos have clarified today that the game is still very much in development and will now be coming to the PlayStation 2, the PSP and the PC thanks to Crystal Dynamics, who previously worked on Tomb Raider: Legend.

This is certainly good news, and whilst the announcement didn't really tell us anything new, Tomb Raider fans will be happy to know the game will be out by the end of the year to celebrate Lara's debut back in 1996. Still nothing on that Tomb Raider II remake, though.

I want to see Core prove that they are still capable of awesomeness.

I'd hate to see such a prolific developer during the Amiga 500 days waste away to nothingness.

Eidos you bastards, get them to work on a new Chuch Rock game, or Body Blows or that awesome shooter whos name escapes me right now.

Hell, even a Rick Dangerous remake for the GBA or DS would be awesome.

Considering that the game was apparently 80% complete. It would have been a waste not to finish and release the title.

I hope the remake disease doesn't extend to video games too now. Remakes for films are annoying enough.

It's already happened, it's called the PSP.

I'll have you know that Resident Evil: Remake is not only one of my favourite Resident Evils but one of my favourite games!!

I have no problem with remakes as long as there is fresh content for the platform it's on and there are obvious reasons why the game is getting remade (e.g substantially improved graphics & sound).

Twin Snakes was a pretty awsome remake as well.
