Square Enix teases with new Final Fantasy game for PSP

PSP News | Company staying mum until the weekend.

While its annual party event isn’t being held until later this week, Square Enix has slipped a curveball by revealing that the company is working on a new Final Fantasy title for the PSP, entitled Final Fantasy Dissidia.

Unfortunately, Square is keeping typically quiet about the new title, though it did release a spiffy teaser site that reveals that Tetsuya Nomura, famed character designer that has worked on an array of high-profile Square titles, will be the character designer for the mysterious title. Additionally, the title may not be a traditional RPG, as the game is being described as a "Dramatic Progressive Action" game, whatever that means.

Fans will have to wait until the weekend's Square Enix Party (May 12th to May 13th) for more information.

So the PSP is getting more loev from Squeenix huh? It just makes me more happy to have kept my PSP. I'm glad it's a spinoff though as I've been disapointed with the main series as of late, although FFXII saved face a bit but it also wasn't one of their normal RPG's either.

Any TRUE fan of Final Fantasy will reval in the though of a Super Smash Brothers style Final Fantasy game and all of though spin-offs and Final Fantasy XII's sequal are making my wallet jingle with excitement!
