Mercenaries 2 images show up

360 News | Release date still not final.
While pegging a release date on Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is impossible to do right now, EA has rewarded our patience with some of the latest images of the game in action.

Mercenaries 2 is set for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and PC. Just like its predecessor it's an open world action game. World in Flames centres on a power hungry tyrant who corrupts Venezuela's oil supply, which turns Venezuela into a warzone. Rather than go in and save the day players actually benefit from chaos as they take control of a character who performs "jobs" for the right price.

Aside from the storyline we don't know a whole lot about Mercenaries 2, but considering how great the first title is, we're very excited about what EA is cooking up. Check out the images in the media panel.

i really enjoyed the first Mercenaries game, so i really hope this one lives up to that, and improves on it.

You reckon they like that A-10? It was only shown in about half the new screen-shots icon_razz.gif

I'm really looking forward to bombing the bejesus out of some paramilitaries in that bad boy.

From what I have seen in videos, this will be an awesome sequel to a great game. Can't wait!

Hopefully with new technologies blowing stuff up will be even more fun.

Have they fixed up the handling of the vehicles, the car handling in the first one felt like you driving toy cars.

I hope this one's easier, or at least have checkpoints for the longer levels.I never finished the 1st one because I found one of the missions to hard and to long.I didn't mind that it was hard, but I hated how long the mission was.

This is probably my number 2 most wanted game atm.

I had a blast playing the original game and have been hanging on every image and scrap of news Pandemic have been leaking out since the sequel was announced.

The only thing that's worrying me is the setting. As much as I love the jungles, they're a bitch to navigate with a vehicle (as my time playing 'Just Cause' has shown me). Sometimes you just want to get from point A to point B without constantly running into a rock or a tree. I guess the difference here is you can mow down a path with weapons fire or heavy vehicle but I still think it will get a bit frustrating over time.
