Banjo-Kazooie 3 coming this Xmas

360 News | ...and it ain't just for kids.
It's been announced that Banjo-Kazooie 3 for the Xbox 360 is on track for a Christmas 2008 release.

"The game is scheduled for a holiday 2008 release - barring the coming of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, you should be playing Banjo 3 before the end of the year (providing you buy the game, that is)." says George Kelion. "I can assure you that we haven't been focused on four year-olds when creating the new Banjo game. We hope that you'll be pleasantly surprised with what we've cooked up."

It also turns out that Banjo's original creator, Gregg Mayles, is the lead designer on the game, and gamers shouldn't necessarily assume that the Banjo model on the website is the final model. "All shall be revealed in due course, not that long to wait now." Hopefully some more info on Banjo-Kazooie 3 is just around the corner.

I had a feeling it would be released this year. I'm looking forward to it actually, if it gets good reviews then I will be purchasing a 360 purely for this game. I loved Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie, there was something about the characters, levels and music that wasn't in any other game.

"It really does sound quite absurd, adventure of a bear and bird."

Looks like LittleBigPlanet has some competition for the casual market this holiday.

I imagine we will be hearing something very soon considering the recent website and now this. I certainly hope so as it would be nice to get an idea of what to expect from the game I'm anticipating so much. And Banjo never focused on the four year olds, I remember quite a bit of subtle (and perhaps more) adult humour...

Banjo never was just for kids, there's always been an adult side to the games.

Banjo Kazooie was and still is a great game. Tooie was a bit too much for me and I hated how some areas required you to separate the characters.

yer i dont know what it was that drew me to banjo kazooie, the music acutally was great now i think about it, the characters and the which and stuff were great, and the whole collecting puzzlie peices was awesome too. i hope that when i get this later this year it takes me back to those times instead of making heaps of new turns etc with too many new added features.

I think that's more to do with Rare as a company than this game in particular icon_wink.gif These guys made Conker's Bad Fur Day ffs!

I remember watching a youtube vid about the all the little suggestive cues in the game. Some were reaching but others were without a doubt placed on purpose.

Have any of them had multiplayer? I don't remember any of them doing so. (not saying they don't, but if they did, I never noticed it)

Yeah tooie did, i remember a rather rudimentary goldeneye/pd rip-off where you roam about in fps mode and shoot each other with eggs launched by kazooie, held shotgun style.

I think there were some other modes as well........ah there was a bumper car mode where you had to go around collecting those christmas lights.Sort of akin to mario party, all sorts of lil minigames uncovered in the single player game could then be played in multi. All were farily forgetable though.
