Coldplay DLC coming to Guitar Hero III

360 News | Look at the DLC, look how it shines for you.
Activision has announced that the latest track pack to hit Guitar Hero III will come from popular piano-rockers Coldplay.

Both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to download the tracks from each console's respective download services on June 19.

The Coldplay pack will contain:
  • "Violet Hill"
  • "Yellow"
  • "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face"

This pack marks the third of the five promised track packs that Activision promised would arrive in June -- the first coming from Motörhead, while the second June DLC track pack featured songs from Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs and The Sex Pistols.

Currently no price point has been announced, but we expect that it will attract the usual fee.

Cool I like Coldplay, although I agree there are plenty of ROCK bands that should be included before them. Also got REALLY sick of "Yellow" when it first came out thanks to commercial radio.

Pianohero would be better for them. Along with Ben Folds. Hmmmm think ive come up with something here.

Coldplay is the first thing that comes to mind when I hear the phrase "Epic Rock Guitar."

They couldn't choose better ones?

I love Coldplay, but those songs are average at best.

My 3 would have been "Fix You", "Daylight", and "The One I Love".

^ Whoa Toastfarmer, how epic would it be to have Battles DLC!

EDIT: lol'd @ coldplay. They're more suited to an ice skating game than Guitar Hero - in my humble opinion.

I'd prefer something really heavy, something that will make us bust our pants wide open while playing...

I think GH needs some DLC from some real Heroes like Metallica and Alice In Chains.

I don't like Coldplay, but who cares? It seems that every DLC pack announced for this game is just an opportunity for hard rock/metal fans to post things like "Coldplay are gay, where's the HARD **** WOOOOOO!"

If it doesn't interest you, why are you posting? This isn't an opinion article, it's just an announcement.

While I agree with you in some aspects (I try not to troll and flame too much because I respect other people's opinions and what they like) - sometimes I gotta just let it all out when it truly sucks and deserves my disapproval. I can't say how I decide whether I post negative comments or not - its just subjective.

You know how I know you're gay?

Because you like Coldplay DLC.
