Soul Calibur hits XBLA tomorrow

360 News | Classic Dreamcast title finds a new home on the Xbox 360.
The re-release of Namco's classic Dreamcast fighter is almost at hand with Soul Calibur set for release on the Xbox Live Arcade service from tomorrow.

Tagged with an 800 Microsoft Points price tag, the game features "no major additions or subtractions" from the Dreamcast edition of the game which was chosen for the port rather than the unspectacular arcade rendition.

Unfortunately, while Soul Calibur includes online leaderboards, it does not support online multiplayer - presumably so it doesn't steal any thunder from the upcoming sequel Soul Calibur IV, which is slated to hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this month.

Sweet! Sucks since there is no Online Multiplayer, but hopefully the game is just as awesome as it was back on the good old DC.

This is great for me as it's the only Soul series game I haven't played properly. Smart move by Microsoft to get it on board in time for SC4.

wonder if there's any word of it coming to PSN?

Bit disappointing that the intro has been cut out of the game. Plus all the game extras unlocked without earning them.

For those that missed the intro from the dreamcast version here it is on youtube
