Fable II mini-games to arrive on XBLA in August

360 News | Win your way to better loot in Fable II.
According to Microsoft, the downloadable compilation of gambling mini-games from Lionhead Studios' upcoming RPG Fable II will be heading to Xbox Live Arcade this August.

The three mini-games in question: Keystone (a hybrid of popular casino games craps and roulette), Fortune's Tower and the pokie channelling Spinnerbox will have an impact on the main Fable II game as players will be able to transfer their winnings from the XBLA titles to use to purchase weapons and other items in Fable II.

The Xbox Live Arcade release of Fable II's mini-games is said to be be free to those who pre-order the title from select retailers, but has not been confirmed as of yet with Australian retailers. For everyone else interested in playing them, they will be available for 800 Microsoft Points from the XBLA marketplace. For those that can wait until Fable II is released, the mini-game compilation will also be included in the retail release of the game, which is due out in stores later this year.

800ms points what a scam!

I'll be downloading them still *shakes fist* be damned your agressive marketing skillz M$! Forcing me into such a corner! Knowing full well people are on edge for this game and giving them the opportunity to get better in game items through paid mini games...

Well played Sir.

Deathfiend in USA the limited edition is giving all pre orders free access to the mini games, so if you pre order the Limited Edition for the extra $20, not only have you free mini games, but all the other extra's aswell.

Hopefully it comes out here, but GAME and EB have the Limited Edition for pre order as yet.

So they want 800 MS Points for something which will end up coming free with the game anyway if you wait? Has MS been taken over by EA recently? icon_wink.gif icon_lol.gif

Yeah bit of a rip really BUT they are obviously preying on those that are so hyped for Fable 2 that they will buy these games for an early taste of the Fable 2 universe.

Hopefully the pre-order deal comes to Aus because id consider doing that too. They had better hurry up and sort it out though seeming these are supposed to be out next month.
