Newell told Videogamer that a demo for the multiplayer shoot-em-up was bound for both the PC and the Xbox 360.
Other details on the demo are sketchy at this time, with Newell explaining, "I don't know what the date is for release on that, though. I think it's going to contain the first part of one of the [game's four] campaigns. That's a decision that Valve [VP of Marketing] Doug Lombardi is making."
Newell has speculated that the demo would include a section of the Hospital campaign, as that has been shown at public demonstrations such as E3 and the Penny Arcade Expo. But he has confirmed that the demo will include the title's highly touted online co-op capabilities, stating: "Oh yeah. You'll be able to play single-player and co-op in the demo."
Left 4 Dead is scheduled to hit retailers in PAL territories on November 21.
