No Xbox 360 Dark Sector for Australia

360 News | Only available on PlayStation 3.
AFA Interactive, the Australian distributor of Dark Sector, has confirmed to PALGN that the third-person shooter will only be available locally on PlayStation 3.

Dark Sector was originally refused classification by the OFLC, but was re-rated back in July for the Australian market. The game was originally created by Digital Extremes and published by D3 Publisher for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, only Australian PlayStation 3 owners will be able to purchase the re-classified Dark Sector, with the Xbox 360 version missing out on a local release.

That doesn't make any sense.

It is the same game and been edited right? And one versions doesn't come? Thats some strange choice.

I dont understand either. Like you even have the 360 Aussie boxart right on this very page. Which by the way that boxart is very awesome looking ^^

But it still doesnt make sense. They didn't only edit the PS3 version did they? Even if they did that wouldnt make much sense either : [

I imported this game for the XBOX from NZ ages ago. It was OK. Some great executions, a lot of blood and screaming. Total GOW controls but worth a play through. The edited version would ruin the best of it, which is of course, the violence and executions which are quite gruesome and funny.

Not that I would ever bother with a 'censored' version anyway but even so this is just an astronomically stupid decision. You can't pull this kind of crap and then complain about piracy and imports.

There really isn't any point in even releasing the game in Australia. Is makes zero sense.

-Censored version
-Exclusive to PS3
-Inflated price
-Generally poor game

Nobody will even notice the release of Dark Sector. Anyone who wanted it has either downloaded or import ages ago and move on by now.

I agree 100% -
I wanted Dark Sector and have imported it already a couple of months back -

They should have released the 360 version here as the the US version is not region free...

With the strength of 360 games out the next coming months it may of been a wise business decision to ignore a 360 version. It is a shame for the developers and all due to our OFLC, our holy than thou guardians of morality and all that is pure and decent. Thank you for saving my soul and that of my children from the devil inside these evil console games.

I would have imported Dark Sector on PS3 from Play-Asia for $25 if the exchange rate was better.

I imported it icon_smile.gif Great game too. I get distracted too easily though so now it sits in my ROYAL PILE OF SHAME.

I disagree with the "generally poor game" great visuals, decent gameplay.

8/10 from my 2 hour++ blast through (Hours not definitle). should/would revisit and finish.
