The company recently admitted that the game disc wouldn't have online co-op out of the box, a highly touted feature of the game that would allow players to enter other player's worlds online. This was put down to it requiring additional polish, but Lionhead said that a patch enabling the feature wouldn't be far off. As it turns out, it was a whole lot of fuss over nothing, as it seems that the Lionhead boffins have managed to get it ready for a day one release.
"Remember a couple of days ago (or was it a week?) where on a blog it was mentioned that Fable 2 would be shipping 'without' online co-op? "Taken into account we don't fail certification."
Fable 2 is due for an Australian release on the 23rd of October. If you've never heard of it, you should have a look at our preview.
