Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the way to PS3, 360?

360 News | The American ESRB says so.
A member of NeoGAF has spotted on America's ESRB website that the cross-over brawler Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is listed for the platforms Xbox, PlayStation 2, and more interestingly Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

With this discovery, it seems likely that a future Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network release of the highly popular fighting game is in the cards. So far, there has been no official announcement from Capcom regarding the matter, but we'll keep you posted if any more information arises.

Trust this to happen as I pay $90 on Ebay for the PS2 version. icon_razz.gif

Had this on Dreamcast for a few years now xD.

Although if/when I get an arcade stick for my 360, I'll probably get it again when it hits Live Arcade. Yay for Capcom =D.

^ Just bought a stick recently, and there's more and more games I can use it for annouced every day!

I'd be looking forward to this one way or another. Though I will say I doubt it'd be XBLA or PSN downloadable.
Though the reason I say this is ATM aren't there size limits to the titles data size??
How big is a game like this?; and does it's size compare to SF2HD, while SF2HD is having issues keeping within it's size limit?

It will be enough to tie me over, but have you guys put the pieces together yet?

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is being released in Japan and they REALLY want it to come to the west, though this is impossible due to licensing issues. To make it happen they would need to get rid of all Tatsunoko characters

EA lost the rights to Marvel games earlier this year and Capcom bought them

Marvel vs Capcom 2 on ESRB and we know Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix comes out on XBLA/PSN before Street Fighter IV

Capcom Japan wants Marvel vs Capcom 3 to happen

When asked about the possibility of Marvel vs Capcom 3 someone at Marvel said "Yes. And maybe sooner than you think."

All in all I would say hopes are high right now for Marvel vs Capcom 3 icon_biggrin.gif

Excellent news, I'll definitely be picking this up on the 360. Will have to invest in an arcade stick too.

I loved this game on the DC. It was so vibrant and fun, even fun to just watch people playing it. 2D fighters will never die. I will most likely get it on Live if it's Live compatible. That was all that was missing from the DC version.

And I say "Hell Yeah!" to Marvel vs Capsom 3!!!!

Haha, "Capsom". Ahh, You know what I mean.

Honestly, I have no problems with the 360 d-pad. I've played VF5, DOA4, Soul Cal, SF2 etc to death using it will precise control.

If you want to talk about busted d-pads for fighting games check out the PSP's.

one good thing thoe if i lose i'll blame the d pad lmao ^^ woot.

i also have found no worries with the d-pad for soul calibur 4, apart from the age old gamers thumb i get from it.

I usualy play 3D fighters with the analogue stick but the d-pad is a must for 2D's. I've serioulsy been considering trying to find a third party 360 controller or some kind of USB controller with a decent D-pad to play fighters on my 360 with.

Hey I just sold my PS2 copy on Ebay recently. I also sold Rez for something like $50+. Interesting when there was a superior, HD version of it already on XBLA.

I wonder... I just wonder, if I sold my PS1 originals of FFVII and FFVIII, a remake or download version would come soon after? ..... Nope, I'm not risking it.
