Fable 2 DLC coming soon

360 News | Knothole Island, coming December 12.
The big Fable 2 announcement - promised by a Lionhead blogger last week - has been made, with the revelation that the RPG will be getting its first piece of premium downloadable content rather soon.

Making up the bulk of the content will be a new area, dubbed Knothole Island. Apparently, the island is dying from frostbite, with snow covering the island, and its inhabitants becoming rather frozen. Obviously, it will be the player's job to save the day, as well as loot the island of all its wealth in the process.

With a price tag of 800 MS points, we're assuming there will be a bit more to do when the content is released on the 12th of December. A free patch will also be available on the same day, allowing for co-op hijinks on Knothole Island.

Both bits of content will treat players to some new goodies, including knight’s boots, assassin's gloves, a weight loss potion, a collectible silver book and probably more more. New leaderboards will also be available for the more competitive types out there.

Awesome news. Thanks for letting me know, I'll save up 800 points for it icon_biggrin.gif if I still have money left after christmas shopping.

I don't need to worry about weightless potion, my character atm is a vegan icon_biggrin.gif

Weight loss potion = auto buy for me, I'm sick of my lard arse. Good thing I just finished the game, will give me an incentive to dust it off again in a couple weeks time (unlike a certain other game with DLC that's so far taken a year to come out), go Lionhead!

Well, I make about 200k a day, so if I leave it sit I'll be cashed up big time when I get back. Not that there will be anything for me to buy, already got all the property that matters, it'll just be buying potions to max my skills.

Lionhead: Please, please FIX the game ending issues some of us have. A patch perhaps, WITH this update so I can continue my 24hr + saved game. Or NO BUY.

The problem I have with this is it's coming a little bit TOO soon. Shouldn't this have shipped with the game.

It depends, I mean they allready have all the tools, engine, and a lot of the assets allready created.

It's been 2 months since the game went gold and most of the end of the development cycle would have been QA stuff with the developers not really having anything to do.
