Halo Wars dated

360 News | New Halo title arrives in early 2009.
Microsoft has revealed that Halo Wars, the final game from the now defunct Ensemble Studios (creators of the long running Age of Empires series), will bring their real-time strategy imagining of the Halo universe to us next February.

While our North American counterparts will have to wait until March 3 to get their grubby mitts on the game, Aussies will be able to get their Halo on from February 26 - giving us plenty of time to practice our multiplayer skills.

Halo Wars will be available for purchase in two forms: a standard edition and a Limited Collector's Edition that will offer a host of goodies, including early release access to the eagerly anticipated Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack.

The headline is right, this game does look dated from what I've seen in videos and the like. There's nothing really innovative from what I've seen. Though I'm fairly sure the game will be fairly solid nonetheless.

Agreed. The ip has too much to gain from a solid effort for them to f*** it up.

Do two "fairly's" cancel each other out? Or does it halve the end result? So in the end you're only slightly expecting granduer?

I'll pick this up. Guess I better start looking at preordering.

Shhh I must have been tired! Besides, it's hardly the worst crime against the English language I've witnessed around here recently.
