NBA Live 09 gets All-Star Weekend DLC

360 News | Celebrate the biggest weekend on the NBA hoops calender.
With the NBA All-Star celebrations kicking off in Phoenix this weekend, Electronic Arts has today announced that an All-Star Weekend DLC Pack for NBA Live 09 will arrive just in time for the big game - and gamers won't have to pay a cent to access it.

For those of you already playing NBA Live 09 online and using the Dynamic DNA feature, you will automatically receive the 2009 line-ups for this weekend's All-Star Game and the rosters for the Rookie/Sophomore Game the next time you log in.

The NBA Live 09 All-Star Weekend DLC pack also includes the official arena and jerseys for the 2009 All-Star Game and is now available on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace for all hoop fans to enjoy.

This is absolutely fantastic.

Can't wait for the all star game.

It's just changing some rosters and adding a couple textures...

Surprised EA aren't charging 49.95 for it...

^ Your point?

Normally we'd have to wait for NBA Live 10 to get this year's All Star teams. Now we get to play with the team at the same time as the game is played. After watching the game Monday night I know if I had the game I would then fire it up and play as the West team.

And don't give the EA hate, they've improved a lot with the quality of their titles and not being complete cash cows (not including NFS).

I'd go so far as to say that Live 09 is just as good, if not better than 2K9. I'm very impressed with the latest from the NBA Live series.

The button release on the jumpshot (the most important gameplay aspect of a bball game) is way off. Sometimes it's early, sometimes it's late and it doesn't always follow what you press. That's a game killer.

The poly count in their models is horrible, it's a 4 year old engine.

But the biggest joke is the courtside announcer which they've been recycling for 9 years. Yes that's right, 9 years.
