Prince of Persia Epilogue now available

360 News | So what happened to Elika and the Prince?
After falling victim to the DLC curse and being pushed back one week (and one day), the Prince of Persia Epilogue is now available to download. It is available on both the Xbox Live Market place and the PlayStation Network for 800 Microsoft Points and $15.95 respectively.

The epilogue takes place directly after the end of the December release and latest iteration of the Prince of Persia series. Players will get their first taste of what happens to the ‘Prince’ and Elika after the gripping and endearing conclusion of the latest game. Players will get to explore a new region, the Underground Palace, use a new power, Energize, and play through a supposedly more challenging experience.

If you haven’t heard much about the latest Prince of Persia, why not check out our review? It may be a bit contentious, but that’s the way we like it. Stay tuned, as we'll also report on this DLC in the near future.

As much as I liked the game, $16 is bit of a joke... I mean Burnout Paradise gives out this much content for free fairly regularly.

Tempting, but ever since Deal of the Week came back I've been paranoid that if I buy something then a week or two later it'll be half price.

Criterion releases 2 free packs (Cagney, and Bikes) and all of a sudden paid DLC for any other game is a joke? Too bad they haven't given freebies recently, and they're not going to anymore.

$16 is too steep for a two hour affair that will potentially ruin my favourite ending in video game history.

yer I agree, even though I hated the ending I can appreciate it as an artistic piece.

You finished the entire game??? icon_razz.gif It was pretty and some of it was clever but the game was just boring simply due to repetition.

I'm not going to purchase this as really I think the entire game needs an overhaul.

I'll probably give this a pass to be honest, as I'm happy with it the way it is. Unless i hear the new ending is jawbreaking...

As rufati eluded to, they also charged:

- 800 points for a new offline mode, "Paradise Party"
- 640 points for 4 "Legendary Cars", a discounted price to buying them individually
- 1000 points for 9 "Toy Vehicles", also a discounted price to buying them individually

I'd be amazed if Burnout's new island is free.

It was supposed to be a free DLC release in 2008, however things changed and it is now a premium DLC package slated for release in 2009.

just got through it in about 3 hours or so.
Considering the main game only took me 8 hours I'm pretty satisfied with that, the story continues is great and doesn't really ruin the ending at all.

Plus, wow. The ending they leave you on is a pretty massive downer.

Deffintly harder then the original game, some bits were getting pretty frustrating, nothing close to the last gen PoP games hard but still getting there wich is great. Far more creative platforming in bits too.

You also get two new skins, Prototype Prince and Prototype Elika, Prince has a white scarf, shorter pants and a white open shirt with a brown jacket on, elika is completly differnt bright white hair, and... well kinda like Rose's alternate costume from SF4 in red and white.

The Prince looked a little weird but I didn't really play around with him too much.

Overall, verry pleased with it.

Do you need the full game to play this or can you play it by itself ? Can't tell from the disclaimer.

Yes, it's an expansion pack.
