Call of Duty: WaW DLC hitting consoles next week

360 News | Four new maps on their way.
Activision announced today that the first downloadable multiplayer map pack for Call of Duty: World at War will be arriving on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 19.

The currently unpriced download will bring four new maps to Treyarch's WWII shooter. One of the included maps, 'Verruckt', (Zombie Asylum) is specifically for the Nazi Zombie survival mode. The other three maps - 'Nightfire' (which depicts the burning streets of Berlin), 'Station' (allows you fight your way amongst the rubble of a bombed out underground train station) and 'Knee Deep' (will have you hunting the enemy through fortified Japanese bunkers) will all be available for regular multiplayer contests.

Regarding the PC release of the DLC, the company noted that gamers will need to "stay tuned" for more details. Don't forget to stop by out media panel to get a good look at the maps in action.

Good thing we've got RE5 to play until this releases. A more complex and interesting zombie level is just what I'm after.

This is the online shooter i am absolutely carving up at the moment. I'll be all over this map pack. $15.35 i predict, just like COD4. Certainly money well spend. The COD franchise has my undivided attention as an online FPS.

Making PC gamers wait? They're kidding right? The PC would be the easiest platform to release it on (and they'd better do it in Infinity Ward tradition and keep it free there).

Not that I care though, didn't buy it.. I might grab it when it's at a bargain price once I'm completely and thoroughly bored with CoD4's maps.
