Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 confirmed for PS3

360 News | Port again to be directed by Yosuke Hayashi.

Tecmo has announced that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is on the way, scheduled to ship this later this year in North America and Japan, with a PAL release to follow soon after.

Similar to the first, Sigma 2 will be an enhanced port of the Xbox 360's Ninja Gaiden 2, including new enemies and weapons, as well as the chance to play as Dead or Alive ninja character Ayane.

The publisher said more details about the title will be revealed tommorrow, March 24. We will keep you posted.

If they fix the frame rate drops I am selling my 360 copy and buying this port.

OMG! This game is a day one purchase for after reading the Gamespot interview with the director and seeing the debut trailer.

It's more than a port. It has much more and a complete package that makes Gaiden 2 on the 360 look resemble a beta.

Sigma 2 will include

+ online co-op
+ the camera has been fixed
+ improved graphics
+ 2 new playable characters. Ayane and Momiji from Gaiden DS
+ new weapons
+ new bosses
+ new enemies
+ trophy support
