Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 map packs dated

Microsoft has announced dates for new Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 map packs.

Halo 3's Mythic Map Pack will be released on April 9th at a cost of 800 points. It will include three new multiplayer maps dubbed Assembly, Orbital and Sandbox. Previously, the Mythic Map Pack was only available for download by those who bought the limited edition of Halo Wars and used their packed-in redemption code.

As announced a few weeks ago, the Gears of War 2 Snowblind Map Pack will be released on March 31st and will set you back 800 points. It will include four multiplayer maps dubbed Grindyard, Under Hill, Courtyard, and a 'frozen version' of the original game's Fuel Depot. Speaking of Gears of War 2, the title update should be going live some time this week, so be sure to keep logging on to Xbox Live.

It's the Mythic Map Pack, not Mystic, and Gears 2's title update should be up tonight. (2am PST)

I'll be fascinated to see what a 'forzen version' of Fuel Depot will look like. Partly because I don't know what 'forzen' is.
