Battlefield: Bad Company 2 teaser unveiled

360 News | There will be some sort of battle on a field.
Today, GameTrailers.com released the first teaser trailer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the sequel to the console shooter which was released last year.

What can we tell from it? Well, the teaser is sort of stylistic, with a Street Fighter IV/300 end credits cel-shaded feel to it, although that style is probably not indicative of the game. It seems a little more brutal than the easy-going nature of the first game, with no smiley-faced grenades in sight, although there is an element of dark humour in the chain of deaths which takes place. In any case, it's hard to tell a lot from the teaser, but we suppose that's because it's teasing us.

We've embedded the video below for you to enjoy and puzzle over.

Yeah the single player was too easy and underwhelming. Never really got past the second level as it was not enthralling.

But about multi-player was addictive.

It's amazing ow a game with practically one multi-player mode was still great.

I picked the game up cheaply a month or so ago and I absolutely loved the singleplayer. The first few levels are a bit eh but it gets great, with hilarious writing and great combat. I just LOVED the sniping, the rifles had real weight to them compared to the generic "there for the sake of being there" ones in games like FEAR 2. And who can argue with driving tanks across golf courses or piloting a pimped-out Hind?

its a pretty generic war-game trailer, doesnt tell us anything at all. I just hope that the game will retain its humour and not go all serious trying to copy call of duty.

I've only played the first level of the original (despite having it since it came out.. christ I'm lazy) but I've watched my brother play through some of the later stages and honestly, the singleplayer is pretty darn good. I found myself frequently laughing while also intrigued by the simple yet strangely compelling plot.

Hopefully the sequel follows this format.

I have to agree with the above posts (mainly those I plussed)
I thought the single player was awesome, yes it did start a bit slow, but after that it really picks up pace and has some truly memorable moments that made me laugh very hard, or feel happy and satisfied (the plot makes made it a very satisfying game at times), or sometimes even feel a little bad (I don't remember why though, maybe it didn't and my memory is is just that bad).

Oh and I must add, the characters are awesome, especially Haggard!

EDIT: Oh but MP was very average

Yeah, it's pretty awesome game - not revolutionary, but incredibly refined for sure.

Multiplayer and Singleplayer were both excellent, something that I find a little too rare in games these days. DICE is still a great games studio, EA haven't destroyed 'em yet.

MP sucked compared to the good old BF2.

The grainy look killed it, snipers could not prone (WTF) and you could not parachute from aircraft.

This new one will suck if they don't fix those things but then we have the dodgy servers from EA to deal with...

Can't wait loved the first one.

Single player was good but I loved the MP, big open maps.

LOVE the 1st game, will LOVE the second. The MP is 400,000 times better than that arcade CRAP COD.

What problems, you obviously havent played the game, and if you have you must not have been good at, so you wil happily blame the servers. there is a TINY, TINY amount of lag most of the time. DICE have done extremely well coding this game for the MP.

Meh, I beta tested and bought the full version and the servers were typical EA servers. There was never a lag free battle.

You must have been playing an entirely different game to myself and my friends. We played the **** out of BF:BC online. Max rank, etc etc. Lag was minimal.

I always had a half a second lag delay. I could tell this by when I would go and knife a door open I would always have to wait a little bit. You get used to it, but it's annoying, especially to think how many times you would die because of it. And I'm not complaining because I'm a sore looser (anyone how knows me well enough knows that I am not like that) or anything I was the rather average player, but it makes me wonder how many times I died because of the lag, at times it really does feel as if you have a little bit less health than some other players because of it.

That all said though I was playing in the first week of release, with less load on the servers, or maybe even more now (when I played there were no Aussie servers) the problem may be gone now.
