The new episode follows this year’s earlier instalment, The Lost and Damned, also released exclusively for the 360. The Ballad of Gay Tony introduces street hoodlum Luis Lopez, as he works under legendary entertainment entrepreneur Tony Prince.
"Liberty City is the most vibrant game world we've created yet. The episodic structure has allowed us to interweave stories, gameplay and atmosphere in a whole new way," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "The team at Rockstar North have yet again surpassed themselves, and made something that is both epic and very innovative. This episode's focus on high-end night life contrasts with the biker gangs portrayed in The Lost and Damned, whilst giving us a lot of new gameplay possibilities."'
The previous chapter The Lost and Damned and the upcoming Ballad of Gay Tony will also be featured on a disc under the name of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City. Priced at US $39.99, this stand alone pack will not require the original GTA IV to play.
The Ballad of Gay Tony will be released on Xbox Live later this year for 1600 Microsoft Points and the downloadable version requires players to have GTA 4.
