Officially titled MotoGP 09/10, the game will feature all bikes, riders and tracks from the 2009 championship, as well as the ability to update the game with content from the 2010 season at no extra cost. This means players won't have to wait until the end of the year to recreate their favourite moments, as with past entries.
MotoGP 09/10 will also have a "fully realised" Career Mode that lets players compete in races and manage different aspects of their team such as hiring engineers, team managers and press officers. In addition there will be three other gameplay modes, two of which have been confirmed to be an Arcade mode and online multiplayer. The Arcade mode won't just be limited to standard races, there will be a new system where players can earn and steal points from their opponents. It's not completely clear how points are earned, but Capcom are promising it adds "a risk element for those who feel leading the pack isn't enough". Online components will include leaderboards and a planned spectator mode.
MotoGP 09/10 is scheduled to be released in March 2010 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
