Xbox Live Deal of the Week - 31/08/09

360 News | More pennies for your dollars.
It's Monday (or Tuesday for Australians) again, which means a new Deal of the Week has started on the Xbox Live Marketplace. This week, the Arcade game Penny Arcade Episode Two has been reduced to 800 Microsoft Points (approx. AUD$13.20), a saving of 33%.

Coming in at 253 MB, Penny Arcade Episode 2 is the second entry in the Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness episodic series. The game follows the paranormal academic duo Tycho and Gabe, and allows players to carry over their look and stats from the previous game. There are plenty of seek-and-find puzzles that advanced the plot, as well as real-time combat.

Please remember that all Deal of the Week specials are exclusive to Xbox Live Gold subscription holders.

I should pick this up, it's worth 800 points. Not 1200.

It's actually a pun on the fact this is the second time a Penny Arcade title has been the Xbox Live Deal of the Week. icon_razz.gif Episode 1 was reduced to 800 quite a few months ago, so yeah, thought the pun has a little more meaning for those that like history. icon_wink.gif

Also, do people like the inclusion of an image of the actual game? Alex recommended I do it for the Nintendo Store updates a few months back, and after trialing it with Aus Bargains I agree it adds a bit of colour to what is otherwise an ugly list. icon_wink.gif

And DancesInUnderWear, I got the AUD price there for you. icon_smile.gif Now people can't complain I/we don't listen to feedback! icon_razz.gif

The image definitely brightens it up Joseph. Nice work as always. If I still had my Gold subscription I would pick this up. Even though it isn't much of a bargain compared to all the stuff I've been picking up through steam.

I wish I had seen Episode 1 going for 800, I'm not going to pay 1600 for the first, guess I'll buy the second and hope the first drops to 1200 at some point.
