Release date for L4D Crash Course DLC set

360 News | Locked in for 29 September.
Valve has announced that Crash Course, the second batch of downloadable content update for its zombie shooter Left 4 Dead, will be released unleashed on 29 September for both the PC and Xbox 360.

Crash Course is said to feature a number of new additions to the different play modes of the game. Valve has explained that the story behind this DLC will fill the gap between the end of the No Mercy and the beginning of the Death Toll campaign which were present in the original release of Left 4 Dead.

As well as adding in a new campaign, the DLC release will also contain additional Survival and Versus maps.

Left 4 Dead: Crash Course will be offered for free on the PC, with Xbox 360 fans needing to spend 560 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live to get their hands on the content.

Pretty much, yes. Microsoft doesn't allow companies to release new content for free, even when they do so on other platforms.
