Bayonetta demo coming

360 News | Ready for consoles next month.
Sega has announced that Bayonetta will be arriving next month in demo form, ready for download from October 8 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The content listed by Sega however strangely shows that more stages will be available to 360 users, with the demos possibly being unique. Japanese news blog andriasang reports that the 360 version will include the tutorial, The Angel's Metropolis, and Falling Clock Tower stages. The PS3 version on the other hand has the first two listed, but may miss out on the Falling Clock Tower prologue.

The demos will be customisable with control and camera options, and could be something more than just gameplay pulled out from the middle of the game. Producer Yusuke Hashimoto has mentioned in the past that he’d like the demo to highlight something special, rather than just a random segment of gameplay.

While being ready for Japanese gamers on the 8th, it remains unknown if other regions will receive it on the same day.

I'm happy they are releasing on both consoles. I want to get this game for PS3 but with all the well documented development issues and numerous reports saying that the ps3 version is not shaping up well I'm gload I'll get to try both versions before I buy.

You do know its probably greatly exaggerated the amount of technical issues with the game... Like the orange box on PS3. I didn't even have a problem with it.

Well, most previews seem to say that the PS3 version is inferior texture-wise, but the most damning ones mention terrible framerate drops on the falling Clocktower level. The falling Clocktower level that is in the 360 demo but not the PS3 one. The thing is, Platinum Games aren't even developing the PS3 version; they made the 360 version, then handed over the assets to Sega so they could do the porting.

I'll probably be downloading both demos to see for myself, but if the PS3 demo isn't including the level that all the complaints are levelled against I don't have high hopes. I'd rather have the PS3 version because I prefer the Dual Shock for action games, but I think a stable framerate in this kind of game is more important than anything else.

i think i might give this hacked up game a miss altogether - i mean sure il get it at some point but i really feel the devs have dug there own grave and that this probably wont sell well at all , i was at first silghtily interested , heavy rain had its problems ( all fixed now) but this is looking worse and worse every-time i see it.

Yay for more good game demos! There's a lot of them out at the moment.

Except it's suffering from even less updates than the X360 version. You needed to play it on the PC to get the most out of it, especially the sublime TF2.
