Alpha Protocol Release Date Announced

Alpha Protocol, one of many titles delayed late last year, has finally had its release date nailed down. The spy-themed role-playing game will be arriving on shelves across Australia on May 27, before both North America and Europe (June 1 and May 28 respectively).

Alpha Protocol, published by SEGA and developed by Knights of the Old Republic II makers Obsidian Entertainment, casts players as super-spy Michael Thorton. On the run from multiple threats, the secret agent must utilize his skills of strength, stealth, speed and sophistication with the opposite sex to avert an international catastrophe.

Finally! Totally forgot about this since the weird 6-month delay (knowing Obsidian they probably forgot the ending).

Cool!

I thought the idea of this game seemed interesting and the Xbox is in need of some new RPGs, but when it was delayed I sort of lost a bit of faith in it. However, I'm sure when the time moves forward a bit more and FF13 is out of the way, this will look a lot more appealing again.

Yay, with a couple of months up my sleeve for this I should have cleared enough of my game backlog to justify my preorder.
