More details on Portal 2

360 News | Further down the rabbit hole.
Following the announcement that a sequel to Portal is in the works, more details have now emerged about the puzzle title.

Game Rant has compiled some details about the game from various sources, such as Game Informer magazine, as well as the developer of the Portal series, Valve. The following contains some spoilers, so beware.

In regards to the setting, the game will be set hundreds of years after the original in the Aperture Science Lab that has become overgrown, and GlaDOS will again be the game’s main villain.

Valve has said the sequel will be a fully-fledged game, unlike the first which they described as a “test bed” which they didn’t expect to be so popular. With that in mind, it appears that the gameplay has been ramped up, with portals that “could be used to suck air from one area to another through an air vent”, a new painting mechanism that “features various liquid substances that each have a unique effect”, and new cubes that reflect beams of light for solving “laser-based puzzles”.

The game will also feature a fully-fledged cooperative mode which will be separate from the main game and will see you controlling one of two robots, with the Xbox 360 version to offer split screen puzzle-solving action, while PC and Mac users will have a "'picture in picture’ feature...[that] allows gamers to easily communicate with their partner and combine efforts for puzzle solving”.

Split Screen Co-op is going to be awesome.

Picture in picture co-op? I love you Valve. Even though the whole hundred years in the future thing sounds dodgy I have a feeling Valve will handle it perfectly.

PiP and splitscreen FTW. I think that even with PiP available to PC, I'll go 360 because co-op is still way easier on console.
