Crackdown 2 dated

360 News | More crazy action coming to Xbox 360 this winter.
Crackdown 2 developer Ruffian Games has today announced that the frenetic open-world sequel will be released exclusively on the Xbox 360 in the middle of 2010.

Ruffian has advised that the game is scheduled to appear in Australia and New Zealand on 8 July, with our European friends getting the game a day later on 9 July.

Awesome, July 8 gives me plenty of time to save up for it. Hopefully it gets a Collector's Edition with an inflatable Agility Orb.

I'd prefer a box of marbles or even candies that look like the various different orbs. A single orb would never do (just like in Crackdown!).

While I won't be pre-ordering this (I'll wait for reviews) I definitely plan on picking Crackdown 2 up.

"dated".. says it all really. I thought that they'd put some extra love into this.. but it's basically the same "dated" game as the last one online with zombies.

If you didn't enjoy the first, why did you get the second? It's not like they were going to make any grand shifts in design...

Crackdown was a ridiculous time-sink for me - I loved it to bits. Car punching, dumpster throwing, rubber-ducky takedowns, orb hunting until your eyes bleed... good times!

If all they've done is give it a slightly fresher coat of paint, changed up the city, added some new weapons and vehicles. and left everything else approximately the same - I'd still say that it'd be worth the prioce of admission for the 4-player co-op.

Seriously. That is going to be nuts.

^Reading your post it reminded me of that time we co-op'd and made barrels explode up our arses as we ran away from them...

..That may, just MAY get me to resubscribe to Gold and buy this game. Crackdown was good times.

I bought a month of Gold for $1 the other week - should still have some left when C2 arrives icon_biggrin.gif

Depending how much fun I have with it, I might just add another month or so. I am a lazy, offline gamer by habit though.
