Xbox Live Update - 07/09/2010

360 News | Nom nom nom.
The first Xbox Live update of Spring is upon us, and could we have asked for anything better? Zombies and plants and more zombies, a typical day in the life of Major Nelson.

Deals of the Week:

Call them what you will; zombies, undead, infected, whatever. This week continues where Dead Rising Case Zero left off. You'll now be able to purchase all of the DLC for Resident Evil 5 at a reduced price.

  • Untold Stories Bundle - 560 MSP (AU$9), a saving of 42%
  • Desperate Escape - 240 MSP (AU$4), a saving of 40%
  • Lost in Nightmares - 240 MSP (AU$4), a saving of 40%
  • Versus Mode - 240 MSP (AU$4), a saving of 40%

Why couldn't they have got it right the first time?

Please remember that all Deal of the Week specials are exclusive to Xbox Live Gold subscription holders.

New Releases:

Moving onto the more important matters, Plants vs. Zombie will be available for 1200 MSP (AU$20). After taking the iPhone and iPad by storm, this hugely successful tower-defence game is arriving at a console near you. Promising to be the most complete version to date, Plants vs. Zombies now features brand new co-op and versus modes. Oddly enough, the game isn't playable online. But if you want to see what all the fuss is about, this is your chance.

Alternatively, you could buy Dance! It's Your Stage for 800 MSP (AU$13). The game hasn't been listed on the official Xbox website yet, so it's difficult to say exactly what this game requires. Probably dancing and music...and stuff. Those of you waiting for the imminent arrival of Microsoft's Kinect and Dance Central might want to check this one out.

Lastly, BioWare will be throwing some new DLC our way. The 'Lair of the Shadow Broker' for Mass Effect 2 will cost 800 MSP (AU$13), while 'Witch Hunt' for Dragon Age: Origins will set you back 560 MSP (AU$9).

The Resident Evil 5 deals are available to download now, with these new releases following sometime tomorrow night.
