This isn't just idle boasting though, oh no. They've actually given us a screenshot of said spectators in action, and we have to admit it does look mightily impressive. However, there's a catch, as Bizarre is keen to point out that this is merely 'a test to show how crazy our crowd rendering system actually is,' before adding, 'it's not representative of the crowd size which will be present in the final build of PGR3'.
But still, we can expect 'many thousands (yes, thousands) of spectators per track', and they're all painstakingly motion-captured as well (not individually obviously - that would be pure stupidity). Thus, some wave flags, others merely wave, others point cameras at the track, others chat amongst themselves; you get the idea.
We're aware of course that this does nothing to actually enhance the gameplay in any discernible way, but heck, we needed something to do whilst we sat around waiting for Tokyo Game Show news, so we thought we'd write about something quirky and entertaining. [And yet you didn't, did you? - Ed]
