'The good news is that Xbox 360 is a very desirable product,' said Moore, a statement that probably won't warm the cockles of those who queue for two hours on December 2nd only to be told there's no more consoles to go round. 'The bad news,' he continued, 'is that it痴 not like baking bread. It has 1700 parts, we have to make them, pack them, and ship them. We池e trying to get everyone satisfied as quickly as we can but demand is huge. I知 not sure I can guarantee that everyone will get an Xbox 360 by Christmas.'
Surprisingly though, Moore also mentioned that even customers who didn't pre-order an X360 months ago will still have a chance at picking one up, and he didn't mean for 」2,000 on eBay. 'What we have done is encourage retail to keep a balance between pre-orders and first-come-first-served sales, both in North America and in Europe.' Interesting, and possibly a catalyst for the odd bloody stampede/punch-up? Let's hope so, as they always make great stories.
Anyway, there's under 48 hours to go until the console launches in a PAL region for the first time, so stay tuned to PALGN for the very best Xbox 360 coverage, reviews and feedback.
