F.E.A.R. to the 360?

360 Rumour | A somewhat F.E.A.R.some development. Cough.
Last year, F.E.A.R hit the PC to critical acclaim - we gave it an extremely healthy 8.5, and you readers voted it your PC game of 2005. So, it comes as no surprise to hear some strong rumours (from Worthplaying) that Monolith's spooky first-person shooter will be heading to the Xbox 360 this year, adding even more depth to the consoles already strong FPS resume.

Of course, this is still just in the rumour phase. We will keep you posted if Vivendi confirm the rumour.

im not surprised to 'here' the strong rumours at all really. it was only a matter of time.

Hmm, another game that I will end up gettting when I upgrade my PC (can only just play the game at 1280x1024 with a few features, but want the lot, or get on the 360.

Think the PC might win due to controls, although the Live component could change my decision.

If it does happen, it will be another reason to think about purchasing an Xbox 360.

While clearly games like Half Life 2 and this are more suited to the PC I definitely hope that this is ported to the console. Mainly because then I will get to experience the games while I am still waiting to get my gaming computer. So I definitely want this to happen.

Then again I am still yet to get Far Cry: Instincts and Half Life 2 on Xbox...

Monolith need to lay off the psycological horror genre, though the same can be said a few years ago about the 60's spy parody genre. I'd rather see some new software or a new IP rather than another 'enhanced port'.

I think the point of a pun is to substitute a phonetically similar word that is relavant to the subject matter.

I think the point of his post was to point out a typo made in the article. icon_razz.gif

This port's a great reason to pick up a 360 if you can't run F.E.A.R. on your pc; it's not a title you want to be missing. icon_smile.gif

I have no idea what you are talking about. It's a subtle slip at a typo in the article, like GTPod said. It was also indicating that I wasn't surprised at all, it was critically aclaimed on the PC and since the X360 is lacking anything decent, they're just porting another game. icon_rolleyes.gif

P.S. Sorry, it's 'relevant'. Couldn't help but point that out since you were baiting for something smart ass.

My current PC is not capable of getting the best out of F.E.A.R so having a console port would be good.

On the other hand I thought Riddick was difficult to control on the Xbox. PC version (demo anyway) was much better.

If the new controller is more senisitive to FPS that would be tremendous. Suppose we will know soon as people get their hands on the system late next month (in Australia).

Didn't see the typo. My bad.

^I am going to be brutally honest in saying this, and I mean it as constructive critisism: A lot of the articles need to be revised for spelling and grammar errors after being written, it doesn't look very professional.

There I said it. Please don't yell, I'm fragile.
