Site makes ludicrously expensive custom 360 case

You know how it is. You stick one coloured crystal on your Xbox 360 as decoration, and suddenly you just can't stop. Sooner or later, you have 43,000 of the things adorning your console. That certainly seems to have been what happened to the folks over at Gamerscore Blog anyway, who've been getting a bit excited with the Superglue, and all in the name of celebrating the recently released Tomb Raider: Legend.

The result, which the Germany office of Xbox marketing are planning to give away in a competition, is one of the most impressive Xbox 360 case mods we've seen yet, a mosaic of Tomb Raider heroine Lara constructed solely from colourful crystals. Featuring a level of bling that would make Snoop Dogg feel slightly weak at the knees, it's truly a garish but impressive sight, and reminds us of the Baby Phat PSP case from last year, though it doesn't quite match that for value - this is "only" worth $15,000AU / £6,250 / €9,000.

So I'm the only one who thinks it looks tacky? Lara looks great, everything else looks ****. And what's with that color change up the top which looks like Lara's bleeding out the back of her head?

oh god i cant wait to paint Mario on my PS3, and Master Chief on my Rev. this is so tacky. i mean, a Joanna Dark mosaic would have worked but this is just odd.

Stay away from my $15,000 Xbox360.... if you want to play game, go and play with the "cheaper" PS3. My XBox360 is for display only.....

Hahaha... I wonder if the buyer will say that in the future.

If the whole thing is made of crystals I can guarantee that thing would look awesome in real life! I'd much rather have some sort of abstract design though instead of a picture of any game character.
