Amped 3 demo now available on Live

360 News | Want to play before you pay? Snow problem! [Fired - Ed]

Those of you who are too tight-fisted to pick up a full copy of Amped 3 may wish to know that 2K Sports has released a demo version of its Xbox 360 snowboarding title on Xbox Live Marketplace. Admittedly you don't quite get all the freedom of the mountains, but there's still a perfectly large chunk of snowy rock to muck about on, with the entire Lower Resort area of the Northstar mountain available for all you would-be Mathieu Crepels.

Anyway, we reviewed Amped 3 just a few days back, and found it to be rather good fun.

Awesome. I'll be sure to grab it so long as it isn't 1.2 Gigs like the bloody PGR3 demo.

Probably ANOTHER demo I can't download.

I discovered that because my Xbox Live account originates in the bowels of time before Australia actually had Xbox Live, the system still considers it to be a US account. That means I get the US Xbox Live Marketplace, not the Oz one... (which explained why I couldn't find the Burnout Revenge demo)
