E3 2006: Chromehounds revealed

360 News | More mech?
Sega has once again showed Chromehounds, coughing up a few more details about what it is and how it plays - it's an online squad-based mech combat game exclusively for the Xbox 360. The title refers to what the mechas are called - it's set in a post apocalyptic future (where else?) where three world superpowers vie for supremacy, and wars are fought with armies of Mecha called "hounds". The hounds will be customisable, and Sega promises over a million parts, weapons, accessories and skins, so no two hounds will be alike. There are also hound classes, including Scout, Sniper, Defender, Heavy Gunner and Tactics Commander.

Chromehounds will apparently be faster then your average giant walking tank game, and also features a robust single player mode. It's scheduled for release mid -2007, but you can get a taste now by clicking on the media panel!
