Splinter Cell Double Agent multiplayer demo available

360 News | Crime doesn't take a weekend.
The official multiplayer demo for Splinter Cell: Double Agent has just been released on the Xbox Live marketplace. The demo comes in at just over 700MB (702.31 for those playing at home) and lets you try out some of the multiplayer modes the final game will possess. The Splinter Cell titles are always a lot of fun online so we have high hopes for Double Agent.

The official Splinter Cell website also proclaims that a single player demo will be available "next week". In Splinter Cell: Double Agent you'll play as a double agent spy for the first time ever. You'll need to take on dual roles of covert operative and ruthless terrorist, where your choices of whom to betray and whom to protect actually affect the outcome of your game.

Look out for PALGN's verdict on Splinter Cell: Double Agent in the coming weeks, for now we'd love to hear your thoughts on the demo in our forums.

This would have been much cooler if it were released more than a whopping 4 days before the game comes out. Oh well icon_sad.gif

Very much looking forward to this game!

Couldn't help myself (cause this is THE game I've been waiting for in terms of multi). The iterface is slick and the graphics, while not a massive jump over Choas (not the crappy Pandora reharsh in the mutli on Xbox) are a nice step up and are clean in HD. Framerate goes up and down though which I don't like.

But looks like they have listened to the public and added a lot more content. I can't wait till Thursday to get the full version!

I downloaded the Demo but the damn thing won't work! I've tried connecting to a game online and it just keeps connecting. Tried this about 6 times and one time I even left it there for about 40 minutes to try and connect to a game....no luck.....so I deleted it! Piece of sh!t!! It's seriously thrown me off getting the full game....I mean if they can't even make a f'ing demo properly....I don't wanna know!

Yeah, the demo is buggy. Can get into a game OK, but it's near impossible to get your friends into the game (as other ppl keep popping in), they have made the demo very strict, which is fair enough. Plus it keeps freezing (on all my mates machines) which is worrying.

But, I'm sure the real game will not have these problems, the demo did demostrate a really nice interface and I like the way they have taken the multiplayer. Looks more balanced and faster now. Looking forward to Thursday!

Someone told me they're not having the online co-op on Live for this game. Anyone know if it's true?
