Roboblitz coming to Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow

360 News | It will cost you 1200 points.
A press release has confirmed that tomorrow's Xbox Live Arcade title will be Roboblitz, which is the first Unreal Engine 3 powered Xbox Live title.

Roboblitz is an independently developed title; independent developer Naked Sky Entertainment are the team behind the 3D action game, which features creative weapons and robotic characters. In Roboblitz you'll take on the role of Blitz, who is a multi-talented robot who must activate an aging space cannon to save his world from a band of maladjusted space pirates.

The game is set in seven different environments and features 19 levels of puzzle solving and action. The game will be priced at 1200 Microsoft points and will feature 200 unlockable achievement points.

Looks more doom 3 than unreal 3 engine.

It's amazing the potential of Xbox Live Arcade and how little they've done with it. We really need some more big name proper arcade games like contra, street fighter, mortal kombat etc. Instead we're getting all these budget releases that really shouldn't even exist on consoles.'

That's my thoughts anyways.....xbox live arcade has been a HUGE dissapointment for me. I've bought 2 full games....1 cuz I just wanted to spend some points and to try out how it all worked (smash tv) and the other cuz it's actually a good game and was huge when I was playing arcades. It seems like they're gonna give me mostly all the crap first!

Honestly, I think XBLA needs more indy games. Having original titles helps to flesh out the service more than simple ports of old games.

It's nice having all those 'classic' games available, but I want more new and interesting games that are actually worth paying for.

^ Totally agree, Karai.

This game was only just recently released on Steam, and there's a demo floating around too if anyone is interested. Amazing use of the unreal 3 engine and the gameplay is highly enjoyable. I didn't buy the final version mainly because I couldn't see myself actually enjoying it for a long period of time - bang for your buck.

Definitely agree the indy developer titles though; they have a hard enough time as it is trying to expose their games. I'd love to see something like DEFCON floating about on XBLA someday instead of some classic title that I played to death 10 years ago.

There was actually a rumour floating around that Introversion were looking at the possibility of putting Darwinia (and possibly Uplink?) on XBLA. Probabley nothing more than some wishful thinking, though.

That would rock my socks, jocks etc...

So, did anyone buy the game ? I don't have enough points but it looks very interesting.
