Woo! That was completely unexpected, which makes it all the nicer.
I'm going to have to jump online right now and start downloading this icon_smile.gif

Hopefully it lives up to the sheer amount of awesomeness that the trailers promised.

Edit: Well, that was unfortunate... icon_shifty.gif

It sucks?

The concept sounds so good, but the gameplay has always seemed kind of ordinary.

I just don't understand how hard it could be to make a *good* Gauntlet clone with responsive controls, but somehow only a few have actually succeeded.

Someone just give us a new Hunter: The Reckoning game, please, that's all I'm asking for.

A new Hunter game would certainly get my interest.

Mark: To be honest I didn't spend a whole lot of time in the demo (instantly turned me off) so I don't want to outright say it sucked - yet. First impressions left a sour taste in my mouth though, for sure. The controls seem clunky, the camera work is akward (too close in to the action), and the overall look and presentation of the game is fairly poor.
It's the controls that really let it down though - it never was going to be a graphics powerhouse.

I'll have to give it some more time before condemning it, as it may well be a case of me being completely unco and just needing time to get used to the controls. But, having since made a US account and downloading the Boom Boom Rocket trial and Armored Core 4 demo... well, I'm not sure that I'll be coming back to Monster Madness anytime soon.

Its pretty lame.

Top down is a bit of a redundant POV, and it shows in this demo. You wouldn't know that this is the same graphics engine that gave us Gears of War. Not worth your time

Oh thanks for tip, I ain't going to waste 4 hours downloading this. ( i think that's ridicolous)
