Next Guitar Hero II downloadable songs named

360 Rumour | Fansite mole reveals all?
The first downloadable songs for Guitar Hero II on the Xbox 360 may have got a disdainful reaction from our forums thanks to their pricey nature, but we'd be willing to bet that won't put RedOctane off releasing more.

Indeed, fansite HarmonixFans reckons it knows precisely which songs would-be rockers will be getting in the next wave of Marketplace content, thanks to the same informant who (correctly) tipped them off about which tracks would be in the first set of song packs. There's no word yet on release date or pricing, but here's what the mole reckons we'll be receiving in the next batch:

Track Pack 1
  • Cowboys From Hell (Pantera)
  • I Love Rock & Roll (Joan Jett & The Blackhearts)
  • Cochise (Audioslave)
Track Pack 2
  • Godzilla (Blue Oyster Cult)
  • I Wanna Be Sedated (The Ramones)
  • Sharp Dressed Man (ZZ Top)
Track Pack 3
  • Iron Man (Black Sabbath)
  • Take Me Out (Franz Ferdinand)
  • Smoke on the Water (Deep Purple)

A couple of good songs which i probably wouldnt purcahse, Is there a reason why their only in packs of three though? Otherthan that i'd probably wait and pray they bring in some grind and whats with the picture of the red ring of death in the media panel? lol

Umm arnt some of these songs already in the Playstation version? I know I love Rock n Roll is in Guitar Hero 1

Well at least now they have a pack out that has more than 1 song I want. Now there is one with 2. If they're going at the same price though then there is no way I'll be buying any of them.

They're probably all from the original PS2 version renegadesx - that seems to be what they're doing now.

Well, I want I Love Rock N Roll and Smoke On The Water, but I'll probably end up buying all three packs.

Yeah most are on GH 1.

I already have guitar hero on the PS2

If they made

Black Fingernails, Red Wine and Sarah - Eskimo Joe

as a downloadable pack

I would buy a guitar and a copy of guitar hero 2 for the xbox360.

Anyone tried their xbox360 guitar in the USB port of the PS2? Did it work?

All of them are from GH1... If there was 'NEW' content, the internet community for GH will implode.

Cowboys from Hell with GH2 Play Mechanics... *drools*

NO, but Guitar Hero doesn't work on the PS3 so there wouldn't be much point.

think he wanted to know if the 360 guitar worked for the PS2 through the usb connections it has.

what do you mean?

there's a usb port in the PS2.

And also - on the PS3 - guitar hero only doesn't work because of the controller, i think the game loads and runs fine, but the old ps2 guitar doesn't work.

FFS put some damn new songs out! There just milking it dry. If they made one pack with all the songs from GH1 for a reasonable price ok but releasing 3 for each pack and bringing out so many without anything new. ARG. I was really excited about the DC for this game...

GHII won't load on the PS3 - controllers or not.

yes but i think the original question was that if the 360 controller will work on the ps2 having usb connections >.> I'm actually curious to whether it does now oO...

And also i think they might be saving alot of content for this battle of the bands thing they have going in production?

I want NEW songs not songs that are 3 years old and most of them never heard of!!

It apparently will work on the pc, there is a free guitar hero type program you can download.

Well, to be honest, the line up in GH1 is arguably better than that in GH2 so I don't agree with you about the "never heard of" bit. Secondly, almost all of the songs in both GH1 and GH2 are more than 3 years old. I know what you were trying to say, but classics are classics no matter how old they are, so I don't agree with you there either.

Finally - I don't get what you're saying about the bonus songs at all. Yes, there are a bunch of bonus songs you can unlock in the game by spending your virtual GH dollars, but the songs they're releasing in packs are not available in GH2 unless you buy them. So, I don't know what you mean and can neither agree or disagree with you on that point.

This is truly pathetic. My best mate and I were pretty stunned when it was announced that Guitar Hero II on the 360 would have downloadable content. It's natural to assume that you would have access to fresh tracks. These so called 'packs' of stuff which is already present in the original Guitar Hero is definately not incentive. I got Guitar Hero II originally and later bought the first one and definately enjoy number II more.

So unless it's your first foray into GH; there's really no point to invest in the 360 version of Guitar Hero II. You'd be better off buying Guitar Hero for the Playstation 2 which has ALL the tracks, instead of burning your dough for this slimeball moneymaking move..
