FIFA 08 images released

360 News | Definitely a goal.
EA has sent through the first images for FIFA 08, which is looking rather impressive; at least visually. FIFA 08 is coming to all major platforms and there will be an all new "Be a Pro" mode which locks you into the role of a single player.

In total, there are 620 licensed teams in the game and thirty leagues. There will also be more than 15,000 players in the game. The interactive league feature that was introduced in the current generation versions of FIFA 07 will also debut in FIFA 08 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

You'd think it wouldn't be quite so dark, with all those stadium lights and all... icon_razz.gif

Other than the odd lighting (next gen 'cool' business blah) it looks nice.

yeah it looks alright, i'm always alittle dissapointed in the detail to facial expressions, they always seem lifeless netherless.

The Rooney model looks really good as im sure the rest of the popular players will, im just hoping that all the other players dont look generic as usual this time around. And yep the stadiums look absolutely awesome.

Heres some more information on the be a pro mode - its sounding absolutely awesome.

"Well, let's say you want to take control of Leeds striker David Healy. And by take control, we mean complete control. In the new Be a Pro mode, you select any player from a squad and control him the entire match in what is almost like a third-person soccer game. The new camera system will zoom in and out to continually frame your player, the ball and the goal. If Healy is zipping up the field on a breakaway, the camera will zoom in and shake, just like the Gears of War embedded journalist cam.

As you play, you'll receiver a number of visual prompts to indicate if you are out of position, where you should run to into space, if you're offside. And even if you're not playing with a game-changing superstar like Ronaldinho, you are still rewarded by how well you play your position. Of course, if you're simply bored, you can pause the game and switch to a more exciting player at any time. The most popular position at EA so far is central midfielder. It's great to score with a striker, but attacking midfielders are always in on the action and it's just as fun to create a goal with a slick pass."

Any word on whether A-League is going to get in the game? Would definitely be a nice addition.

No PS2 or PSP, Fine I'll build my own FIFA 08 with black jacks and hookers.
