Overlord demo released

360 News | Become evil.
Codemasters has released the demo for Overlord on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo lets you walk around Mellow Hills. The whole premise for Overlord is that you're an evil ruler, you won't be a good guy saving the world this time which is certainly something different for once.

The demo comes in at just under 900MB, if you'd like to read our impressions of Overlord then head over to our preview of the PC version. If you're after a PC demo then it should be out next week. A PC demo for the game has also been released and can be downloaded via Eurogamer.

A big thanks to forumer S. Jaworski for the heads up with this!

I think this game will be one of my must purchases. The videos i have seen look really good and fun. The other game this reminds me of is Two Worlds that's another game i will be getting. Either way i will be getting this game.

For anyone who has tried the demo from XBL please let us know your thoughts!

I didnt like it, I didnt come close to finishing it. I stuck with Shadowrun, I did find controlling minions boring and doing simple adventure puzzle even more tiresome and slightly repetitive at the sametime.

I think i'll have to give this a go. From what i heard on 1up yours last week it sounds kind of fun

It's heaps of fun, it feels to me, like it will be more puzzle-based rather than combat-based. I like the quirky sense of humour, it reminds me of Dungeon Keeper 2 and Evil Genius, which were both good for a bit of a laugh. I'm just trying to work out how I'm going to buy this and DIRT (and Darkness if the reviews are good) all on the same day...

So can somebody tell me what you actually do in the demo, do you walk around town and kill stuff or is it a structered level?

^ Its structured, you have to complete tasks - like destroy the pumkins or kill the goats to use on the altar icon_razz.gif Its a pretty fun game for a while but it looses appeal quickly. I played it for 20 minutes and deleted it. Not worth buying in my eyes.
