Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Elements formally announced

360 News | Brave the elements.
Ubisoft first revealed they were bringing the Dark Messiah of Might and Magic series to the Xbox 360 in the form of Elements a month and a half ago. Finally, Ubisoft has shed more light on the title today by way of a press release.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Elements is being developed by Ubisoft's Annecy Studio. The Annecy Studio has previously worked on the multiplayer elements in the Splinter Cell series. Elements will feature a brand new lock-on feature and a tweaked level design. There will also be three previously unreleased secret levels with new objectives and rewards.

Elements will also feature new multiplayer maps which have been created exclusively for the Xbox 360 version. The game will support up to ten players and all the multiplayer features from the PC version will be carried over to the Xbox 360 edition. In total Elements features 12 chapters and over 30 weapons to master and should be available in first quarter, 2008. To have a look at what to expect from Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Elements head over to our review of the PC version. First images can also be found in our media panel.

so is this merely the port of the PC game, with an additional word, or is it an expanded game? (apart from the additional MP maps i mean).

if the latter, will the expansion be coming to PC as well?

It's a poor choice of a word to put on the end of the title.

I think of Photoshop Elements, which is a cut-down version without many features.
