The game will apparently feature a "benchmark-setting tennis experience" by including a new weather system, improved player visuals and online components that will allow players to "rise in the ranks" against professional players. There will also be player customisation options that will allow gamers to sculpt their own player and give them makeup and tattoos.
"This game transcends the boundaries of what has previously been achieved in the acclaimed Top Spin franchise by ensuring every detail is accurate, from the cloud cover to lighting, from sweat to dirt on clothing, to every drop shot, slice, lob and backhand," said Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K.
While details are scarce at this stage, the game has been given a "next Spring" release date for America, which means we'll presumably see it sometime in March-May next year.
