LGC 07: Sierra likes getting Wet

360 News | As they announce a new shooter.

According to Eurogamer, Sierra Entertainment has announced that they're bringing a new stylised shooter to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 called Wet.

In the game you'll assume the role of a contract killer named Ruby. Ruby has many methods of killing people at her disposal, including twin pistols, or use her blade for those targets who may be wearing bullet protection. Ruby can be rather flexible too (perhaps a little like the Prince of Persia?) and can easily jump over walls while firing at enemies.

Wet will be released sometime in 2008, more info as we get it.

^ the enemy is called Afl - and when they shoot at you, even if you don't get hit directly, you still take a percentage of the damage - about 16-17%.

Damage is called a Ratings Drop, mind you. Do you also get special potions that increase your mana aka Salary Cap?

The game looks awesome.

If there's one thing Stranglehold didn't cover, it was sliding down ladders backwards and upside down, guns blazing.

Art looks cool, too.

Yes, numerous times over the past ten years or so. There was this rather obscure title called Tomb Raider that let you do just that. Maybe Sierra haven't heard of that one, coincidently it also featured a female lead.

Interesting tidbit from the new interview over at gametrailers: The guy behind the script for WET worked on the first 5 seasons of 24. This is awesome.

The guy talks about other cool things, such as the independant vs free aiming system, timed button presses for melee kills that vary depending on the expertise of the enemy, and being able to perform any acrobatic move while still being able to use your sword/guns.
