Assassin's Creed delayed

360 News | Now coming on the 21st.
The release date for Assassin's Creed has been up for debate for some time. First it was scheduled for release on the 15th of November, then it was delayed for one more day to the 16th.

Unfortunately the release of the game has slipped again, with Ubisoft confirming to PALGN today that the game is now set for release on the 21st of November. Looks like we'll have to endure another weekend without Altair.

This release date only affects Australian and New Zealand readers. The following statement has been offered by a Ubisoft spokesperson to retailers.

"Due to manufacturing and freight difficulties during this time of year, Ubisoft Australia & New Zealand were unable to receive their full allocation of Assassin's Creed stock required to fulfill all Day One orders.

"In an effort to treat all retailers and consumers fairly, Ubisoft will wait until the balance of stock is received in our warehouse before we ship the game. The new street date for Assassin's Creed on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be Wednesday 21st November. Please ensure that your stores are aware of this development so they can correctly answer any customer enquiries they may receive."

"Ubisoft sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this delay has caused to your staff and customers."

OMG BOYCOTT IT GUYZ!!!

Ah well, only a 1 week delay, at least there's plenty else out and coming out at the moment. Should be good fun once it does hit our shores, looking forward to it.
Lol yeah only just realised that, we could have a paper mario on our hands... icon_dumb.gif

Im not really the richest guy going around, so when something gets delayed normally its only my chance to save a little bit more bling :]

I'm probably the only person in the world at the moment who is relieved by this.

Why?

Now I can finish exams in peace icon_smile.gif
Not the only one. I finish uni exams on the 16th at 5pm, so I'd have missed it (Haven't preordered).

Plus now I have more time to drool over Crysis. Got that puppy (LE) today icon_biggrin.gif

Wow.
Everyone should go watch the video review of this game at gametrailers.com... it's made the wait a little easier. It looks incredible, and they gave it a 9.1, but the AI is unforgivably atrocious. Watch the review and you'll see what I mean.
Still looking forward to this and it truly does look awesome, but it may not be the absolute perfect gem I hoped it was gonna be.

Really interesting review. Some clipping issues seem to exist, but its mainly the AI and the combat that decrease from the game.

Nevermind, it still looks to be a stunner and one of the games of the year. Not long now people, then we'll be able to make that judgement for ourselves.

I do wonder how releasing in the same week as Mass Effect will affect sales? If I had to choose between the two it would be Mass Effect, but I've already paid for Assasin's Creed.

Wow. People complaining about waiting a week instead of getting it at the same time as the rest of the world. This generation of consoles has spoilt the lot of you icon_wink.gif

So, in reality, you chose Assassin's Creed.

Re: AI - meh, it's an exploit, I'll get over it simply by not doing it. It's just that one scenario. And I love the gore icon_smile.gif

icon_sad.gif Dam, this is my most wanted game by a mile. Oh well, a week isn't too bad, it's just really annoying that Ubi gave us the news with about 3 days before release. At least it's not a Super Paper Mario though.

this is just crap.

postive: i get to play more ratchet and clank

negative: i get smackdown in that week.

Well, one could always hope that if EB are willing to break street release date for Crysis, they'll do so for AC as well...
*fingers crossed*
