XBox Live breaks the 350,000 subscriber mark as European launch nears.

Xbox News | From this March 14th, thousands of XBox owners from 11 European nations will be given the chance to play games on XBox Live. As PALGN found out today, they'll be just a small part of a rapidly-growing global community...
Microsoft today announced that more than 350,000 subscribers worldwide have joined the Xbox Live online game service. And on March 14, the global Xbox Live community will span 11 more countries, when players from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom will become Xbox Live-enabled. Yes, we're just 12 days from seeing XBox Live hit Europe.

Globally, Xbox Live is playing host to more than 3 million game sessions per week, with the growing Xbox Live community - which includes players from the United States, Canada and Japan - logging more than 15.7 million hours of online play, or just shy of 1,800 cumulative years, in the first three months of availability.

All of which makes the upcoming European launch of XBox Live all the more exciting for us neglected, woefully-behind-the-times Europeans. NFL Fever 2003, MechAssault, Moto GP, Unreal Championship, Whacked!, Ghost Recon and Capcom vs SNK 2: EO are the titles on offer for the first adopters in under two weeks time, and if you've imported copies of NBA 2K3, NFL 2K3 or NHL 2K3, you can play those also.

Expect more reports and reviews nearer the time.
