Doom 3 Release Date

Xbox News | Delay turns out to not be much of a delay after all.
During yesterday’s annual financial report, Activision reported that the Xbox version of Doom 3 and the PC expansion pack for the PC game would both be pushed back until the company's next financial year, which begins in April, which resulted in fears that the game may’ve been delayed to a further date. However, Activision has reassured those gamers who were concerned, by confirming that both titles will be in stores on April 4.

The Xbox version of Doom 3 will feature the full single-player mode from the PC version and will include both competitive and co-operative online play over Xbox Live. The exclusive Limited Collector's Edition also includes full versions of the original Ultimate DOOM and DOOM II playable in single player, or split-screen co-op or death match with 2-4 players on one Xbox. Unfortunately, Activision has yet to comment on whether or not the Limited Collector’s Edition will see the day of light outside of the U.S.

The PC expansion pack, Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil, picks up two years after the events on Mars detailed in Doom 3, tasking you with battling a new demon army. The game includes new enemies and weapons and also new time-manipulating powers.

Yeah, not such bad delay. I was expecting a July or later release date. Phew!
