Worldwide Halo 2 tournament winner announced

Xbox News | Don't spill his beer.
Microsoft's Halo 2 tournament has come to a climax, with the eventual winner - the elaborately-named 'King Tuur' (we're guessing that's not what his mother calls him) - originating from The Netherlands. Australia's representative, 'Cabel', finished an extremely respectable fourth, and PALGN commends him for his effort.

24 players were involved in this tournament to find the best Halo 2 player in the world. And in one match, Aussie Cabel actually managed to win by an eight-kill margin. Alas, later rounds let him down. This was the first tournament of it's kind to happen, and with all the games taking place over Xbox Live, we hope Microsoft continue to offer such events - whilst PALGN probably won't be brushing shoulders with Mr. Tuur or Cabel in the near future, it adds a bit of variety to the Xbox Live experience.

Congratulations to Cabel, very brave effort. I'm sure you've earned everyone's respect with your performance, good show.

Well done to Tuury, too. Whomever he may be, good on him.

Wow - must be good at the game, huh?

They should do this with Mario Kart and Smash Bros. when they go online and all that.
That would be so cool - ind of like that SSBM competition that Nintendo Australia held last year.
