Ed Fries leaves Microsoft

Xbox News | The 2nd in command at Microsoft Game Studios steps down.
Ed Fries, the main responsible for Microsoft's first-party development strategies, and vice president of Microsoft Game Studios has announced that he will be leaving the company. He said that he will be leaving the company after more than 15 years of service to pursue personal interests.

Shane Kim is set to be Fries' successor. Kim was formerely the Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft Game Studios, and has spent 14 years with the company. Like Fries, he'll only report to Xbox Chief Robbie Bach.
